This information is primarily stored locally on your device for app functionality and offline access.

3. Location Information

Captain's Log may request location access so you can capture accurate coordinates for log entries, voyage records, and map-related features.

• Location is used only when required for app features you choose to use.
• Location data entered or captured in the app is stored locally on your device as part of your records.
• We do not use your location data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

If you do not want the app to access location, you can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings.

4. Photos and Images

Captain's Log may request access to your photo library so you can choose images for vessel profiles, voyage records, or related app content.

• Images are selected only when you choose to pick them.
• Selected images may be copied and stored locally on your device for offline use inside the app.
• We do not use your photos for advertising or cross-app tracking.

5. Reports, Exports, and Sharing

Captain's Log allows you to generate reports and export data, such as PDF or CSV files. When you choose to share an exported file, the file is shared only through the destination or app that you select on your device.

6. Subscription and Purchase Information

Captain's Log may offer paid subscription features through the app store platform on your device, such as Google Play.

• Purchases are processed by the applicable app store provider, not directly by SmartServe Labs.
• The app may check subscription or entitlement status so premium access can be enabled or restored.
• Purchase-related information handled by the store is subject to that store provider's own privacy terms.

7. Firebase Remote Config

Captain's Log uses Firebase Remote Config to help manage app version policy and update-related behavior, such as minimum supported app version and store update links.

To provide this functionality, Firebase may process technical information needed to deliver configuration to the app, such as app instance or installation-related identifiers. This feature is used for app functionality only and not for advertising or cross-app tracking.

8. Online Maps and Network Requests

Captain's Log supports offline maps where available. If offline map tiles are not installed, the app may load online map tiles from third-party map providers such as OpenStreetMap.

Map requests and other necessary network calls (like retrieving weather data, if supported) expose your IP address and standard network headers to the external service providing that data. We recommend reviewing the privacy terms of any integrated mapping or weather providers used by the app.
